Bring your Own Device (BYOD)

Northeast Data will provide all necessary electronic equipment required for your job.

Note: For guidelines on using company or personal cell phones, please refer to the NEDATA Cell Phone Policy.

To ensure the security and integrity of customer systems, the use of the following personal devices at customer sites is strictly prohibited:

• Personal Desktop/Laptop Computers
• Personal Tablets
• Personal Switches/Hubs
• Personal Routers/Wireless Switches/Access Points
• Personal Data Backup Devices
• Personal USB Drives/Flash Drives
• Any device that can connect to a customer network, either wired or wirelessly

Exceptions:

• Company-issued cell phones and personal cell phones are allowed, provided their use complies with the NEDATA Cell Phone Policy.
• Personal smartwatches, as long as they do not connect to the customer network.
• Personal chargers and power banks for charging devices.

Note: Personal headphones or earphones are not allowed while working on a customer site due to safety concerns but are permitted in the office. Employees found using headphones or earphones at customer sites will be subject to the progressive discipline policy, which may include verbal warnings, written warnings, suspension, or termination, depending on the severity and frequency of the violation.

Using these devices for work purposes can compromise customer systems or be perceived as an attempt to extract customer data. Employees found violating this policy will be subject to the progressive discipline policy.
