Non-Disclosure of Information

Employees must remember that Northeast Data Inc.’s business is confidential and should not be discussed with anyone. Company confidential information includes, but is not limited to:

Caution should be taken to not disclose any information related to a project to anyone except other current employees who are specifically entitled to receive such information. This is particularly true for projects and related confidential information undertaken for clients, along with any accounting and client data.

All documents, email, and electronic data generated in the normal course of business or related to the business are the property of Northeast Data Inc., and right of possession lies solely with Northeast Data, Inc. Email and similar electronic records are not retained except as an appropriate part of a Project File or other file overseen by an officer; the company purges such documents on a routine, short-term basis.

Customer information and projects you are working on are also considered confidential. All customer files and documents shall follow the above non-disclosure policy.

If an employee breaches the non-disclosure policy, the consequences can be serious and may include:

  1. Disciplinary Action: This can range from a warning to suspension, depending on the severity of the breach.
  2. Termination of Employment: Serious breaches, especially those involving sensitive or critical information, can lead to immediate termination.
  3. Legal Action: The company may pursue legal action against the employee for damages caused by the breach.
  4. Loss of Trust: Breaching confidentiality can damage the trust between the employee and the company, affecting future employment opportunities within the organization.

It’s important to handle all company information with care to avoid these consequences. If you have any doubts about what constitutes confidential information, it’s best to consult with your supervisor or the Operations Department.
