Hiring
The following policy should be followed when hiring any prospective employee for Northeast Data.
Application / Resume Process
- Prospective candidates shall submit an Application / Resume for review. If the candidate submits a resume an application must be filled out prior to the interview process. This can be sent in the mail or given to the applicant before being interviewed.
- All sections of the Job Application must be properly completed prior to the interview. Any application not providing required information will be declined upon receipt. The Operations group will send out a NO EMPLOYMENT LETTER to the applicant.
- The Associated Department Manager and General Manager shall review the candidate application. If the candidate appears to have applicable skills, the applicant shall be called into the office for the interview process.
1st Interview / Testing Process
- The prospective candidate will be called in to the office for the first Interview and Pre-employment testing. This interview shall be set up at a convenient time for the Associated Department Manager and General Manager.
- The Associated Department Manager and General Manager of Northeast Data shall conduct the interview process. This interview should take no longer than a half-hour.
- The Associated Department Manager and General Manager shall completely fill out the Interview / Testing form. This form is to be placed with the application and reviewed after the applicant has been submitted for pre-employment testing.
- (Pre-employment testing shall take from 45 minutes to 1 hour)
- Note: Any candidates applying for a job position in the installation department greater than apprentice shall also take the Northeast Data Evaluation Test.
- All copies of testing shall be given to the Associated Department Manager and General Manager for review.
- If applicant still looks like a prospective employee, applicant must be called into the office for a 2nd interview. (The Operations group will send any applicant who does not appear to be a prospective candidate a NO EMPLOYMENT LETTER.)
2nd Interview / Drug Testing / Employment Processing
- Any Prospective candidate will then be called in to the office for the second Interview and drug testing. This interview shall be set up at a convenient time for the Associated Department Manager and General Manager.
- The Associated Department Manager and General Manager of Northeast Data shall conduct the interview process. This interview should take no longer than one hour.
- The Associated Department Manager and General Manager shall complete the remainder of the Interview / Testing form. The Associated Department Manager and General Manager shall ask questions based on the personality profile given from the Plus-32 Employment Testing System.
- If applicant still looks like a prospective employee, applicant will be sent for Drug Testing utilizing the local drug testing facility. Applicant will be notified before dismissal from the office that he will not be able to start work until the drug test has been resubmitted to the office. (The Operations Manager will send any applicant who does not appear to be a prospective candidate a NO EMPLOYMENT LETTER. This applicant will not be sent for drug testing.) Prospective applicant must complete the following forms before being submitted to drug testing:
- Northeast Data’s Drug Testing Disclosure
- Northeast Data’s Safety Policy
- The Manager will complete the following forms from USA Fact providing only the candidates name and email address:
- Criminal Background Check
- MVR

- After the drug test is received into the office, the associated department manager will call the candidate and notify him/her of the start date for employment. Any applicant failing a drug test will be sent a NO EMPLOYMENT LETTER by the Operations group. Applicants whom are certified drug free will be sent an electronic New Hire Employment Package.
- The applicant must also have a Social Security Card and Valid Drivers License. These two items must be copied by the Manager to file in the employee’s personnel file.

If the applicant is being hired for the installation department (and if they are pertaining to their job descriptions), the following items will also be issued to the employee during this time:
- Ear Plugs
- Hard Hat
- Safety Glasses
- Safety Vest
- Company Baseball Cap
- Company T-shirts/Polo Shirts
- Safety Harness
- The employee will then be notified where to meet his / her new team for the following workday.
Orientation
All new Employees must fill out the following forms completely before their first day of work. These forms will become a permanent part of your personnel file.
No prospective employees will be permitted to begin work without these documents.
**Note: A signed acceptance form for the Northeast Data Employee Handbook / Rules and Regulations will be given to the employee after their 90-day probationary period. This will also become a permanent part of your personnel file.
