Covered Employees

  1. Northeast Data will use the principles and procedures that follow in all cases involving regular employees.
  2. If employment concludes prior to the scheduled termination date, the incumbent must receive written notification prior to new termination date.
  3. To be eligible for the following procedures governing seniority bypass, bumping, bidding, or reassignment, all regular employees must be in good standing which means their work performance must be satisfactory or better, and in all cases, there must be evidence of the employee's ability to perform the position to be filled as determined by the hiring authority.
  4. Employment Security and Staff Reduction provisions do not apply to any terminations due to violations of Northeast Data's Rules of Conduct.
  5. If a position is being reduced in Full Time Equivalency (FTE) to the degree that the incumbent is no longer eligible for Northeast Data-paid benefits, layoff provisions apply.
  6. If a position is being reduced in FTE with no loss of benefit eligibility, layoff procedures do not apply. To the extent possible, sixty (60) days written notice of FTE position change must be provided to the employee.
